Genesis Armenia team meets with the ESCS Minister Lusine Gharakhanyan in Artsakh

The Genesis Armenia team also met with the ESCS Minister Lusine Gharakhanyan in Artsakh. As we have already mentioned, the crux of all our projects is education. Thus, finding solutions to the issues in this sector should be on the agenda of each member of Genesis Armenia.

Lusine Gharakhanyan presented the problems facing the education sector in post-war Artsakh, specifically emphasizing that “Science is in dire straits”. According to the minister, as a result of the war, laboratories of Chemistry and Physics (eight laboratories apiece) were left behind in the schools of the occupied areas of Artsakh, and the rest were damaged during bombardment.

Despite the difficulties, the students of Artsakh show a keen interest in science subjects, even winning top prizes in Republican Olympiads. We agreed to joint efforts to make a list of the problems in the education sector to serve as a reference point when planning future projects.
